Spanish 1b AND Spanish 2

This week, we are still reviewing regular verb infinitives vocabulary from Lessons 2 and 3 and how to conjugate those verbs, and are including 4 irregular verbs: ser, estar, tener and venir.

PARA HACER (To do:)

Spanish 1b – Bookwork was due on Tuesday (see Powerschool for details). You should sign up for Quizlet (click on the link on the Spanish 1b page above) and start studying your Lec 2/3 verbs and their conjugations. You can always review on Duolingo as well.

Spanish 2 – Bookwork was due on Tuesday (see Powerschool for details). Sign up for Quizlet (see Spanish 2 page) and continue studying for your first quiz, which is now on Tuesday, Oct 4 and continued on Wed/Thurs, Oct 5/6. The Listening and Reading (input) parts are on Tuesday ; the Grammar/Writing and Speaking (output)parts are on Wed/Thurs.  It is on the common verb vocab words and regular ar-er-ir verb conjugation, plus the 4 irregular verbs of ser, estar, tener and venir. TAREA

Spanish 1b – none. You can start learning the verbs from your Powerpoint study guide given to you.

Spanish 2 – Sign up for Quizlet (see Spanish 2 page) and start studying for your first quiz, which is on Friday, Sept. 30. It is on the common verb vocab words and regular ar-er-ir verb conjugation, plus the 4 irregular verbs of ser, estar, tener and venir.

Spanish 1b AND Spanish 2

This week, we are reviewing class procedures and resources (in class and with our online Supersite), and also reviewing general “for the use in class’ vocabulary. We will start talking about Hispanic Heritage month and sign up for and start using Duolingo, an awesome app to learn Spanish (and other languages).

TAREA: For all classes Spanish 1b and 2: You must complete your Búsqueda del Supersite (vhlcentral) sheet and sign up and complete the placement test on Duolingo after you join our class for your hour. These are both due FRIDAY (tomorrow!), Sept 16. You can start designing your billete as well – those are due on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

This week, we are getting to know one another and all about the class.

TAREA:

  • Have your parents read the 4 steps for parents sheet, get materials listed on 4 Steps for Parents sheet, fill out your tabs, and bring back materials by Friday.
  • Get parent sheet signed, cut it off and bring the signed part by Friday or Monday.

Last notes of the year…

Make sure to study on Quizlet for your last quiz of the year on Indirect Object Pronouns – it is on Friday, June 10th! Also remember to complete your Market sign, speaking card and bring the item you are “selling” for our last class on Tuesday!

Spanish 2

The Final Exam is on Friday, June 10th. Make sure to study!! (See previous post for topics) ¡Buena suerte!🙂

Spanish 1b

Students presented their Demonstrative Adjs/Pronouns projects. We are still finishing these up. Students have assignments to work on for Indirect Object Pronouns that they will receive on Friday. These must be finished by Monday (if they didn’t finish in class)

Spanish 2

Students are to study their 2.2 technology vocabulary words on Quizlet and make flashcards if they want to (Due Monday for 4 extra points.) Their last matching vocabulary quiz will be Tuesday, 6/7. They should also start studying for their Final Test, which will be next Friday, 6/10 on all 2b material.  (Preterite vs. Imperfect, Future and Conditional Tenses, Commands and Reflexives). This is a 44 point multiple choice test.

Spanish 2

Students are starting to learn their 2.2 Technology vocabulary. They can start studying these on Quizlet and make flashcards if they want to. Due dates are sometime next week, quiz coming up after that.
