Make sure to study on Quizlet for your last quiz of the year on Indirect Object Pronouns – it is on Friday, June 10th! Also remember to complete your Market sign, speaking card and bring the item you are “selling” for our last class on Tuesday!

Spanish 1b

Students presented their Demonstrative Adjs/Pronouns projects. We are still finishing these up. Students have assignments to work on for Indirect Object Pronouns that they will receive on Friday. These must be finished by Monday (if they didn’t finish in class)

Spanish 2

Students are to study their 2.2 technology vocabulary words on Quizlet and make flashcards if they want to (Due Monday for 4 extra points.) Their last matching vocabulary quiz will be Tuesday, 6/7. They should also start studying for their Final Test, which will be next Friday, 6/10 on all 2b material.  (Preterite vs. Imperfect, Future and Conditional Tenses, Commands and Reflexives). This is a 44 point multiple choice test.

Students are starting to learn their 2.2 Technology vocabulary. They can start studying these on Quizlet and make flashcards if they want to. Due dates are sometime next week, quiz coming up after that.

Spanish 1b

Students are finishing up their Fashion Show writings and will present these on Monday. Students need to bring their clothes on Monday to “walk the catwalk” and practice their lines over the weekend.

Spanish 2

Students will have finished their Preterite vs. Imperfect Short Stories by the end of the class on Friday. They will be presenting these on Monday to a small group.

Update as of Friday: They also have a future tense worksheet to complete. They may have finished in class, if they were done with their short stories, but if not, it is due on Monday.

Spanish 1b

Students are continuing to practice with their Lesson 6 clothing vocabulary and learning when to use saber vs. conocer. The Lesson 6 vocab quiz (online, matching) is on Friday, May 13.

Spanish 2

Students are continuing to practice the Imperfect vs. Preterite tense. They are also learning how to use the Future and Conditional tenses. Their color by #, Future and Conditional sheets are all due on Friday, May 13. (They will have had 8 hours of work time in school to complete these packets, so there really is no excuse for them not being completed). They also have to come up with a way to remember the irregular stems for the Future and Conditional tenses (a song, rhyme, poem, etc.)

Spanish 1b

Students were quizzed on Direct Object Pronouns on Tuesday. They are continuing to practice with their Lesson 6 clothing vocabulary and learning when to use saber vs. conocer. They will start learning about Indirect Object Pronouns.

Homework due Friday is to read p. 200 and come up with a way to remember when to use saber vs. conocer (rhyme, acronym, song, etc.). They also have to complete pg. 200, Inténtalo, pg. 201, Act 1 and pg. 201, Act 5 (but translate the questions to English, then answer the questions in English)

Spanish 2

Students are continuing to practice the Imperfect vs. Preterite tense. They are presenting their experiences of childhood partner essays on Wed/Thurs, May 4/5.

Students are to start studying on Quizlet for their DOPs (direct object pronouns) quiz that will be next Tuesday, May 3.

Students are continuing to learn about using the Imperfect Tense and practicing with their 2b Lesson 1 health vocabulary. They are also beginning to learn about how to compare using the Imperfect vs. Preterite tense. Their Imperfect Quiz was today. They are also working on their experiences of childhood partner essays, which they will present on Monday, May 2.
