Spanish 1b

This week, we are reviewing preterite endings and common verbs learned over the course of the year to study for our final test of the year, which is this week on Wed/Thurs, June 7/8.

PARA HACER (To do:)

Students need to study for the test listed above. Study on Quizlet on the preterite endings and verbs, do the Learn or Test (Written Questions Only) sections multiple times.

Spanish 2

This week, we reviewing for our last test of the year, the 2b Grammar/Vocab Final Exam (multiple choice of around 31-44 questions) will be this week, on Wed/Thurs, June 7/8.  Study especially Preterite vs Imperfect and Commands. Update: Spanish 3 kids do NOT have to do the Future and Conditional Tense problems unless they choose to do so (way to challenge yourself if you do!)

Spanish 1b

This week, we are continuing to learn how to communicate in the preterite past tense, and practicing with some irregular preterite verbs as well. We are also reviewing all of Lesson 6 vocab and grammar to study for our last test of the year, the Lesson 6 skills test. This will be on next Tuesday, June 6 (Listening and Reading) and Wed/Thurs, June 7/8 (Writing, Speaking and Gram/Vocab).

Spanish 2

This week, we are learning how to communicate using commands. **If students are going into Spanish 3 next year, they should also be reviewing independently how to conjugate in the Future and Conditional tenses, and learn 2b Lesson 3 vocabulary as well over the summer.

This week, we reviewing and practicing with how to use indirect object pronouns in sentences. We are also starting to learn how to communicate in the preterite past tense.

This week, we had a skills test on 2b Lesson 1 (health and sickness vocab and choosing between the preterite and imperfect verb tenses. We are starting to learn our 2b Lesson 2 vocabulary on technology words. Finally, we are starting to learn how to communicate using commands. **If students are going into Spanish 3 next year, they should also be reviewing independently how to conjugate in the Future and Conditional tenses, and learn 2b Lesson 3 vocabulary as well over the summer.

This week, we are reviewing using the verb saber vs. conocer and using demonstrative adjectives like “this, that, etc.” We are also learning how to use indirect object pronouns in sentences.

Final partner childhood essays are to be turned in and presented on Tuesday. Students should start studying for their 2b Lesson 1 Skills Test, which will be next Tuesday, May 23. It will include a Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Grammar/Vocab section. Please use the Study Best for Spanish Tests sheet to help you with how to study for each part.

The online quiz on DOPS is Wed/Thurs, May 10/11. Bookwork will be given and due on Monday, May 15.

This week, we are continuing to learn about choosing between the preterite and imperfect verb tenses.

Students have a lot of extra study time due to 7th graders doing the MSTEP test. Therefore, this week they have a packet to work on to learn the preterite vs. imperfect. They also have to finalize their childhood essays. All of this work is due on Monday, May 15. Finally, if a student is going in to Spanish 3 at Seaholm or Groves, they need to complete the Future and Conditional Tenses packet.
